Abstract
Channelizer filter banks play an important role in software defined radio.For wideband channelizers maximally decimated filter bank is suggested. We have shown how an analysis-synthesis filter bank can be used for channelization application. It comprises of analysis filter bank and synthesis filter bank. We also show how analysis filter bank can be derived from a single low pass filter. The results show how different bandpass responses are obtained from prototype low pass filter. We also discuss applications of non maximally decimated filter bank. Keywords - Channelizer, Filter Banks, Software Defined Radio, Cognitive Radio.
