Abstract |
Technology has revolutionized the way we interact with our surroundings. Our interactions in our day to day lives are being governed by our ability to adapt to these technological advances. In order to interact with these electronic devices, we rely on various input devices. We make use of various input devices like a keyboard, mouse etc. Using all these devices comes naturally to us and we do not give it much of a second thought. However, people suffering from motor disability or impairment have a very difficult time navigating these devices. A plethora of people across the globe are affected by motor function disabilities. Some people also lose their ability to communicate due to some trauma or accidents. This makes communication for paralyzed patients next to impossible. Hence, it is essential to come up with solutions that make it easy for them to navigate through these devices. The fundamental goal of this project is to allow impaired and handicapped patients to convert their intents which will be gauged using eye blinks and converted to text and speech.
