Abstract
Ventilation and Air Conditioning (VAC) System in underground (UG) railway station has main function to provide a comfortable and safe environment during normal and emergency conditions. VAC system is controlled and monitored by Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Planning Reliability Demonstration Testing is necessary for successful operation of a system development. The Reliability of VAC subsystem is demonstrated with the help of Reliability Demonstration Test (RDT) for Defect Liability Period. RDT has been widely used to confirm whether an item or equipment has met a certain Reliability demand with a stated confidence level. The Design techniques are based on either number of failures or failure times. The result of such demonstration gives a decision to accept or reject the item or equipment. In this paper, Reliability Demonstration is performed based on MIL-HDBK-781A, MIL-HDBK-338B and IEC 61124.
