Abstract
The photovoltaic (PV) energy is one of the renewable energies that attract attention of researchers in the recent decades. Since the conversion efficiency of PV arrays varies according to temperature and radiation. In this paper an intelligent method of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) using fuzzy logic control for PV system. The PV system is composed of PV array, buck converter, and MPPT controller. Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is easy to implement, and does not need knowledge of the exact model of the system. Simulations results compared with conventional perturb and observation (P&O) technique show the effectiveness of the fuzzy logic controller under steady-state and varying weather conditions.
