Abstract |
Current study evaluates the feasibility of solar-powered charging station in parking lots in the USA. As a matter of fact, a business process modeling is proposed in order to evaluate cost of equipping a parking lot to solar-powered charging station, payback period, revenue of the parking lot in a year, customers’ energy consumption within a year, charging time, the utilization of resources within a year and amount of energy can be injected to the distribution grid. The result of the study indicates that implementing solar-powered charging station in parking lots is a good business plan which meets customers’ need and increases EV adaption.
