Abstract
It is important to do some studies and research in the area of Physical Education, sports and recreation since it deals with integral health and physical activities. Children must develop motor and abilities for optimal growth; they show innate characteristics of physical activity. This research presents dancing as strengthen of physical abilities in Santa Marianita´s children orphanage located in Ambato city. This research has been carried out in two stages; the first stage is data collection before the dancing session and the second stage is the data analysis related with the physical flexibility, speed and the skill of jumping abilities. The aim of the study is to verify how the introduction of a dancing program promotes the improvement of motor skills. The results are evident because there is a significant increase between the pre and posttests scores. Keywords- Physical Skills, Dance, Dance Therapy, Movement, Motor skills.
