Abstract
This study demonstrates the applicability of numerical techniques to microbial depolymerization processes. Weigh distributions before and after cultivation of microbial consortium E-1 in a culture media in which polyethylene glycol were the sole carbon source were incorporated into analysis of a microbial depolymerization process. Inverse problems for a molecular factor and a time factor of a degradation rate were solved numerically. Once the inverse problems were solved, microbial depolymerization process was simulated. Numerical techniques are described, and numerical results are presented. n. Index Terms - Biodegradation, polyethylene glycol, mathematical model, numerical simulation, inverse problem.
