Abstract |
Simple, economic and fast methods are developed for determination of Assay of Metformin and Glipizide using UV-Visible spectrophotometry. These methods measure absorption at wavelength 233nm and 275nm for Metformin and Glipizide respectively. The methods were validated to prove its effectiveness for intended use. UV responses were found to be linear in the concentration range of 8 to 12 ppm for Metformin and Glipizide. The correlation coefficient was found to be 0.999 for Metformin and 0.998 for Glipizide.
