Abstract |
In this paper, the biological activity studies on Cyclamen alpinum and its medicinal properties (anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic, insecticidal, cytotoxic and enzyme activity) is reviewed. Due to the saponins they carry, the Cyclamen species have important and diverse biological activities (diuretic, purgative, antirheumatic, antifungal, antimicrobial, insecticide, antioxidant, cytotoxic and antitumoral etc.).
