Abstract
The treatment of automobile wastewater aims to control the pollution potential by electrofenton process. It serves as most effective method in the present-day study. The wastewater samples were collected from nearby sources and mainly it is provided from automobile garage. The samples were characterised for several parameters like pH, turbidity, COD, oil and grease. Experiments were performed in batch mode where two iron electrodes were used as electrodes in the electrofenton process .In the current study these two electrodes were immersed in wastewater sample and continuous stirring was performed throughout the experiment run by a magnetic stirrer. Straight current was given to the electrodes by a peripheral power supply. Optimisation was done in Minitab software using Response Surface Methodology.
