Abstract |
The present study is aimed to evaluate the anti-diabetic property of Gymauricuma – a polyherbal formulation against Streptozotocin induced albino rats. The aqueous extract of Gymauricuma was studied for Anti-diabetic property in Streptozotocin induced albino rats by oral administration of extract in 150-200 mg/kg body weight for 28 days. The effect was compared with oral dose of 1mg/kg Glimepiride. The result showed significant decrease in the blood glucose level of experimental rats. It concluded that Gymauricuma has significant Anti-diabetic activity, in Streptozotocin induced albino rats. | |||||||||
