Abstract |
During an extensive survey of Korba which is famous industrial town of Chhattisgarh. From here Cyanobacteria or blue green algae (BGA) sample were collected from different types of fresh water i.e, cooling water, sewage and industrial effluents in winter, summer and rainy season. Overall 35 forms were recorded. These types included with three orders namely Chroococcales with 12 genera and 16 species, Chamaesiphonales with 1 genera and 1 species, Nostocales with 9 genera and 13 species. Rainy season is most appropriate season for occurrence of Cyanobacteria while in winter season number of species are less. Keywords - Cyanobacteria (Blue Green Algae), Korba. | |||||||||
