Abstract
This study demonstratesan applicability of numerical techniques to study of microbial depolymerisation processes. A computational model was formulated, inverse problems for a time factor and a molecular factor of a degradation rate were set. Weight distributions before and after cultivation of microorganisms were incorporated in an inverse analysis. Once inverse problems were solved, microbial depolymerization process was simulated. Numerical results and experimental results were compared. Index terms - Biodegradation, Polymer, Inverse problem, Numerical simulation, Polyethylene glycol.
