Abstract |
The study chronicles the development of student motivation in two semesters of an undergraduate psychology course involving Participatory Action Research projects. Student self ratings of progress and engagement were used as a way to guide discussion and reflection about the projects, described and analyzed, and the outcomes interpreted based on demographic differences (level of schooling and academic major) are offered. The implications for guidelines for teaching in undergraduate psychology are drawn out. Keywords - Participatory Action Research, Psychology, Student motivation | |||||||||
