Abstract
This research brief performs the comparative study on the compressive strength of the concrete components made using geopolymer as the primary binder. The usage of geopolymer is being promoted for the environmental advantages it provides, it consuming less energy and lesser CO2 emission, it comes out as a good replacement for ordinary Portland cement (OPC). Additionally, geopolymers can be designed to possess characteristics like superior durability, high resistance to acid attack, freeze-thaw, alkali-silica reaction, low drying shrinkage and sulphate attack. Comparison of compressibility strength of various mixtures of geopolymers at different intervals is performed for better understanding. Keywords - Compressive Strength, Fly-ash, Geopolymer, Low-Calcium Concrete, Setting Time Test, Slump Test.
