Abstract |
Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) is one of various management tools for evaluating environmental concerns. The number of LCA professionals in developing countries is still very low and insufficient to meet local needs, there is also a lack of life cycle assessment methodology application in the construction industry in Egypt so this paper suggests how to apply the LCA techniques in Egypt to achieve more sustainable construction. It also reviews LCA from a buildings perspective. It highlights the need for its use within the building sector, and the importance of LCA as a decision making support tool to achieve sustainability.
