Abstract
In this study, the capability of predicting evapotranspiration using Fuzzy Inference System with mean temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and net radiation as input is studied. The FIS model is being trained using series of daily data of input parameters and output as evapotranspiration. The results which obtained from FIS are compared with the estimation of ETo with the FAO-56 Penman Monteith method. The results shows that the values of the ETo obtained from the FIS can be consider for future prediction as it gives the R2 value as 0.9866.The fuzzy inference system has high efficiency of calculating and predicting the values of evapotranspiration. Keywords— Evapotranspiration, Penman-Monteith method, Fuzzy If-Then Rules.
