Abstract |
The present study aims to understand the behavior of piles placed in uniform soil (monolayer) and subjected to a lateral static load. Depending on the loading conditions and the type of soil in which the pile is placed, the response of the piles is determined by a numerical finite element calculation describing the variation of displacements along the pile. The study made it possible to characterize the influence of the lateral loading on the displacements at the head of the pile. The comparison of numerical simulation results with those obtained from the analytical analysis was presented. Keywords - Displacement, lateral load, numerical analysis, piles. | |||||||||
