Abstract
The storage or the abandonment of various waste products such as power plant slags is a major problem for our rapidly developing and technologically developing world, including environmental pollution. Wastes can be used as an additive in new products or in existing products. The evaluation of waste materials and by-products avoids the destruction of nature by reducing the use of very limited natural materials and minimizes the problems that may arise in the environment if the materials are stored for disposal. Therefore; new product should be evaluated and brought to the economy of the country. In this study, cement mortar was prepared by substituting 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% of granite mud for CEM I 42.5 R cement together with reference cement mortar. Flexural and and compressive strengths of cement mortars curing in normal water in accordance with TS EN 196-1 have been determined. As a result of this study, it was seen that positive results will be obtained by substituting the additive ratio up to 25% for portland cement. Keywords - Granite Mud, Compressive Strength, Flexural Strength.
