Abstract |
In this paper an attempt has been ma de to optimize the use of water as a resource by redesigning an old water tank. The study was done in S.S Ghati Bangalore which is situated 100kms from Bangalore basically a rural area. The methodology of the study is based on surveying and level l in g in the study area. The levelling was done using dumpy level, prismatic compass, plane tabelling, theodolite, reconnaissance survey. The study draws the conclusion that in a rural area, the water tanks can be optimally developed for use in irrigation, drought relief, domestic use etc. Keywords: levelling, treatment plant, ground profile, capacity. | |||||||||
