Abstract |
This paper describes about a smart street system. This system is an integration of various modules namely, the accident detection, license plate recognition for vehicles emitting smoke, Fire detection in case of accidents and face recognition for the individuals who are missing or wanted as per the database. The first phase of this system deals with the detection and recognition using image processing and pattern recognition while the second phase deals with the reporting of these events for service from the respective facilitation centres.
