Abstract |
This paper reflects on our experiment with using a software we developed specifically to help ESL writers combine words correctly. It more specifically focuses on aspects in English writing that cannot be easily explained in terms of grammatical or syntactic rules, such as collocations and idiomatic usage of language. The results shows a positive effect of online input which certainly assist students decide which combinations of words are likely to be accepted.
