Abstract |
Image segmentation is the process of partitioning an image into multiple segments which converts the complex image into a simple image. This process cuts out the region of interest (ROI) from the image. It helps to simplify the overall presentation of an image into a more meaningful data which is easier for computational analysis. Segmentation reduces the gap between low-level image processing and high-level image processing. Different image segmentation techniques have been reviewed and presented in this paper.
