Abstract |
Internet, cybercrime, cyberattack, and cybersecurity have been trending topics in a midst of many. It is positively and negatively impacting our lifestyle. The reason why these topics have been trending it is not only because they are facilitating our lifestyle but also because they are causing a lot of chaos. These terms might not be known to everyone, but their benefits are most of the time appreciated regardless of the generation. We have all been victims of cybercrime consciously or unconsciously and the impact caused might be different from one person to other. A lot of work has been done, proposed, and suggested to protect the user against the side effect of the internet but still, the impact remains remarkable. In this paper, we will study a few reasons that push people to commit such crimes, the financial impact of cybercrime, and also a few suggestions that might be helpful in cyber policy.
