Abstract
A Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed ledger that keeps the records/transactions of all the digital assets, the records/transactions are unalterable and transparent through the use of the decentralization and cryptographic hashing algorithm. Blockchain is an emerging technology that keeps all the transaction safe and secure and does not involve any third-party intervention. This paper aims at the agriculture supply chain using blockchain implementation. A safe and secure system to trace the supply of crop production is not going well as expected in a developing country like India. The main reason behind this is the lack of communication between the farmer (Producer) and the consumer (Customer). Due to heavy debts, farmers are unable to maintain the proper flow of production in agriculture, the consumers (Customers) are also worried about the quality of the crops and the high price of the commodities. To increment the performance of the ongoing processes this paper introduces the concept of Blockchain technology in the Agriculture supply chain and comparing it with the traditional methods. Keywords - Blockchain, Supply chain, Traceability, Agriculture, Decentralized, Distributed ledger.
