Abstract |
This study presents the performance of different image fusion techniques in Land cover mapping. Three popular image fusion techniques were used for this study namely Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Brovey transform and Wavelet IHS. Gulbarga region of Karnataka was taken up for demonstration of methodology. In this studyLandsat-8 data is fused with Sentinel-1A and Sentinel-2A Datasets. Among the fusion techniques considered, Wavelet IHS performed better. Among data products Sentinel-1A and Landsat-8 fusion obtained better accuracy results than the fusion of Sentinel-2A and Landsat-8 datasets.
