Abstract
This paper presents a study about different image dehazing methods to remove the haze from hazy images captured in real world weather conditions to recover a fast and improved quality of haze free image. Haze causes problems in various computer vision and image processing based applications as it diminishes the scene’s visibility. Attenuation reduces the contrast and air light increases the whiteness in the scene. Haze removal technique improve the color and contrast of the scene. These methods are widely used in many computer vision applications such as outdoor investigation, object detection, tracking, segmentation, consumer electronics etc. Index Terms- Air light, Image Dehazing, Contrast enhancement, Dark channel prior.
