Abstract |
Space debris, also known as space junk, has become a major issue. These pieces of debris or junk whirl around freely in Earth's orbit causing damage to other space objects like satellites, etc. There are three stages to countering space debris: prevention, detection, and removal. [19]. Space debris must be detected and removed in order to decrease or eliminate the damage. This research focuses on detecting space debris and other space objects using YOLO v4 object detection model.
